They are trying to confirm it. They report massive protests. Almajinehad has postponed his visit to Russia. Will update.

I guess the basiji are out in force on their scooters, too, beating the shit out of people. I really think the protesters need to bring small tools to pierce the tires of those scooters--that'll fix 'em.

Mousavi has called for a General Strike tomorrow. That pretty much screws the work week, I'm thinking.

and the BBC is being jammed. Mousavi's newspaper Green Word has been suspended. Al Arabiya's office closed. Sweden's SVT journalists have been told to leave the country. Iran is at the brink...

9. The losers, the underemployed, and those jealous because youth and opportunity have passed them by.

They came into the flower of their youth under oppression, and they will be DAMNED if the next generation gets to have more fun than they did. Pathetic and insufferable bastards. Those are the real traitors.

Guys on bikes/scooters with batons themselves, escorting the crowds and hopefully keeping the Basij guys at bay.
