Credit when it is deserved! CNN shows entire Health Care TownHall while MSNBC and FOX turn off!
Health Care is a major issue to all Americans concerned.
When the President answers the questions from American Citizens on this subject,
it should be televised in full by the Cable "24/7" News Channels, period.

CNN apparently agrees, while MSNBC and FOX....not so much.

I am particularily dissapointed in MSNBC, as they have plenty of time,
and could have shown the whole thing.
Whomever made the decision that this part of the town hall
(the part where the President answers questions) was not important enough to televise,
made a bad decision that shows that MSNBC's suits do not have the welfare of the American people
at heart.

Let MSNBC know that they need to provide us with important information,
and that includes our President's rare Town Halls in full.
We elected a President to lead us; we didn't elect MSNBC to keep us from information
we should and could have.

2. Yup. It happened how I expected it to happen. MSNBC has no right
to call themselves, "The Place for Politics."

4. MSNBC usually says they will
'monitor' things...town halls, Gibbs press briefings, Presidential announcements, etc. So they decide which sound bites the viewers get to hear for themselves. Then Chuckie T comes on to tell us his version of what we didn't hear for ourselves.

It infuriates me. So I've switched to CSPAN (TV or online) for all events I want to see in their entirety. And without pundits talking over them to 'interpret' for me.

5. I knew what you were doing before I even read the message of your post...
I noticed the same thing and it infuriates me, too. Even C-Span on tv isn't covering many of his events or Gibbs' press briefings and I have all 3 C-Spans.

9. Yep. More and more I'm watching things online, which is fine for
me.

But I hate the fact that someone who doesn't have online access is not being exposed to important events (like today's town hall) by the so-called 'news' channels.

Liberal media :sarcasm:

13. Exactly...
and you can't pause live streaming video like you can pause tv with DVR. And forget about ANYONE covering BIDEN. Palin still gets more coverage than him!

10. When Obama was in Cairo giving his speech
MSNBC was SO FRIGGIN' CAREFUL to include his middle name all day long.

Barack Hussein Obama.

I expected their morning news report to include the lead that he had accepted money from Al Queda to run as President.

Even during positive coverage given by Olbermann and Maddow, they had the flippin' scrawl at the bottom of the page with his middle name.

I wish Keith And Rachel had somewhere else to televise from.

11. Me thinks so.
Also one of the reason they are no longer going to show Lou Dobbs on an endless repeat loop. Now, if they just could get rid of him altogether, they'd get some more "credit". :)

16. This is why I prefer to watch these things online, via YouTube postings or on CSPAN. They are uncut
Edited on Thu Jun-11-09 04:12 PM by 4lbs
and unfiltered this way.

The same thing happened often during the campaign. All the networks often didn't show the entire speeches of all. I want the entire speech along with questions from the audience.

So, I waited until there were YouTube or CSPAN postings and watched them there.
