was Bessie Coleman, but I don't know at present. Female pilots of any persuasion are still rare enough: since many pilots of big planes have a military background, I'd expect to see more in the coming years as more women look at military careers.

3. I think she was one of the Marine One pilots intereviewed on the

National Geographic channel's show about Marine One. They also did a show about Air Force One. Both were great; definitely worth a watch.
