NBC's "Inside the White House" pt 2...
Edited on Wed Jun-03-09 08:15 PM by Clio the Leo
... who else is watching?

Joe ... sporting a LOVELY congnac colored satchel reminiscent of Starsky and Hutch days, just said to someone in his office ... "I liked it and I gave it to Barack..... I mean the President." lol .... had to catch himself since the camera was in his face, didn't he.

ha ha ... Joe's hot.

36. if you have shade and the spores and some logs and water, you can grow Shitakes
my good friend in Kentucky grows them in a patch of woods on her farm

but it has to be deep shade. I think she grows them on oak logs. You soak the logs in water, rub in the spores, and put them on racks and the mushrooms just come out of the bark. Pretty neat. I helped her harvest them last fall.

I kindof doubt the White House has a deep enough patch of woods for them.

... the Australian Big Brother house grew them last year in what basically looked like wooden boxes.

33. Worth watching IN SPITE OF Brian Williams.
What a douche he was. Not so subtly spewing right-wing talking points the whole time.

-Bush couldn't have given a speech in the Middle East because 9/11 happened on his watch and not because he is an asshole.
-Questioning Obama for not being serious enough in the Oval Office.
-Questioning Obama for going out in NYC and California, meanwhile Bush spent the majority of his time on vacation.

And why does this self-important, smirky, Williams think he is a comedian with all the jokes...i.e."Bring a Shovel to greet the daughter boyfriend"

I also don't like the way he took the easy way out and spent the whole Biden segment characterizing him as a gaffe-machine. Brilliant insight there buddy. And by the way, that comment Biden made about Obama needing a teleprompter was NOT a gaffe moron. It was obvious sarcasm directed at all those haters accusing possibly the most eloquent POTUS we ever had of needing a teleprompter.

Lucky the Obama's and team stole the show.

Rant off.

40. No, I didn't like what they did with Biden either....
.... in edition to being a sexy man beast ;) .... the Vice President is an intelligent force of political nature. Women across the nation have HIM to thank for making their lives safer and that's just ONE of his many accomplishes.

The teleprompter joke was NOT a gaffe ... but the neither are most of the "gaffes" he makes.

39. I LOVED that part! He also kinda talked baby talk to Bo for a sec before he caught himself...
He was saying, silly-like, "Bo...Bo..." Then he growled and rubbed Bo's head.

That's the sort of thing I do with my dogs.

You can tell that Bo and Obama have bonded. The doggie always looks at Obama, when he walks up. And once, when Obama walked off, Bo started to follow him, but Michelle had his leash.

I guess because Bo runs with Obama, and Obama takes him for his nightly walk.

45. I still don't like him much. But I also still can't believe he gave up being Speaker
of the House. Was he really lined up to be Speaker? That IS third in line to the Presidency and a very powerful, front seat position. Being Chief of Staff is critical, but it's not as visible, and of course, the hours suck and the stress must be unbelievable.

to work in the White House. I'm impressed with them all for doing that, not just him.

I just don't like the guy. His type. I don't relate. He's so foreign to anything that I consider a nice, normal person. But he's from Chicago, and I'm from the south, so that's probably part of it.

59. LOL. I am from Connecticut, with relatives from NYC. We move fast here.
And we swear a lot. People yell at each other a little more, they are less polite.
Boston, NYC, Hartford. I am used to the east coast way of life as I have lived here all my life.
I am guessing Chicago is a bit like that but with some midwest flavor thrown in.
You also have never experienced the ultimate in rudeness until you have crossed over the Massachusetts border. My husband and I joke about it all the time. The horns immediately start beeping at you the minute a light turns green. Boston in the most notorious place for that. So many pleasant memories of getting cut off with a finger thrown in for good measure. LOL.

He may be a very competent Chief of Staff, the president seems to like him.

But I did cartwheels when I saw him leaving Congress and the DCCC - he was poison for the rest of us.

he chafes at the chance to "get out". Joe said that while it was hard to go to a store and be surrounded by people and Secret Service agents it was nearly impossible for the Prez. Love these guys.
Also Brian Williams cannot be any more of a douche. Sigh. The price to pay for access to our VP, Prez, and the rest of the WH crew.
