New Hampshire: Numero Six for Gay Marriage
Edited on Wed Jun-03-09 03:29 PM by vaberella
Shuster just announced that the Governor of NH will permit gay marriage. One by one they're falling, as they should...the prejudiced pricks. Everyone deserves their rights as individuals given by law. Glad it's happening...I hope Arnold decides to do something about prop 8. California is looking really stupid.

1. I only have one concern about doing this at the state level
Say we get a dozen states to legalize gay marriage by the end of the year, but the others don't move in that direction at all. That seems to open the door for opponents to say, "well, golly, you gays have 12 other states to choose from where you can marry. Go live there."

4. That argument won't work. Actually it's along the lines of an "ethnic cleasning"
argument. Or what can be called "sexual cleansing" and that could lead to a nasty little war for those other neighboring states. It won't bode well and show how behind they are.

3. My niece and her partner must be thrilled!
They had a commitment ceremony quite a few years ago but this will be so special for them.
