An interesting correlation

You decide.

This first is a link to news stories surrounding the release of the first abu gharib torture photos. The time line is fairly clear. They begin around March 2004 peak in May and then slowly taper off

http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=abu+ghraib+photos&scoring=a&hl=en&ned=us&um=1&sa=N&sugg=d&as_ldate=2004/03&as_hdate=2004/03&lnav=hist2

Here is a graph of American casualties
Notice theres a spike coinciding almost exactly with the release of those pics and the stories surrounding them.

Its not necessary to release these photos to prosecute. I am sure the release would cause much more pressure to prosecute however, the kids that will be killed for us to get off our behinds is not worth it to me.

2. What happened in November 04, January 05, December 06 and May 07?
War kills people, not photos.

That's what you've got? "War kills people, not photos."

And there's no such thing as inciting to kill, right?

4. Do you think Iraq, 6 years in, is going to erupt in violence if the photos are released?
Read the post again. The graph does not mean news of torture equals more bloodshed.

Maybe you prefer the killing be done more quietly.

5. you do understand what a correlation is, no?
How about the notion that multiple sources contribute to variance? Ever hear of that?

7. A breath of fresh air.... Thank you.
I was going to post the same thing.

Obviously there must've been more pictures released in Nov... because there were more killings... and obviously Americans are only killed over released photos... which would apparently suggest that we really need to cancel American Idol, as I believe a careful analysis is liable to prove that American soldiers deaths are related to the trends of the show...
