Doesn't Cheney Own Interest in Prisons? Cause here's a thought.....
I wouldn't be surprised if there was an "escape" from a prison near somewhere in the United States soon. Wouldn't be surprised at all. Payola could come in mighty handy during difficult economic times to a few prison guards. We'll have to see....but considering the timing of certain events in this country, this wouldn't be hard to pull off. It would certainly put a damper in the argument the Obama administration is making to shut down Quantanemo, now wouldn't it?

Dick Cheney charged over abuse in private prisons
US vice president Dick Cheney has been charged with "organised criminal activity" over allegations about abuse in privately-run prisons.

A grand jury in south Texas indicted Mr Cheney and Alberto Gonzales, the former Attorney General, on state charges that they blocked an investigation into the mistreatment of prisoners.

The indictment cites a "money trail" relating to Mr Cheney's financial stake in prison-related businesses, including the Vanguard Group, which has an interest in privately-run federal jails in the region.

And wouldn't doubt that he would do something like this...or pay someone to blow up a building. He's pure evil.

6. Vanguard Group????
I don't get that tie. Vanguard is the largest mutual fund company. For those that don't know, they are the ones that busted into the rich white male world of investing with the introduction of index funds, allowing the masses access to the markets. I have 100% of my money invested through them, as they offer the lowest expense ratios in the industry. Given that they are primarily index funds, they own an interest in 100% of all publicly traded companies.

8. Oh, I agree with Haliburton.
I was just saying an ownership in Vanguard (and all investors are owners, as the company is owned by their funds) means nothing.
