Our Stinking Media going after Pelosi; no longer interested in Pres Obama's ND visit and Speech!
The speech so far is getting very few mentions this morning on the cable zoo shows.

Pelosi is getting skewered.

And yes, they are all on the same page.....CNN, Fox and MSNBC.

1. The ND protest fizzled out, you won't hear Donahue, Buchanan, etc. talking about it again.

2. First person up on CNN is some right wing hack.....
cause of course, CNN couldn't find anyone that could say something positive about that great speech!

4. Me too!
We all need to be able to talk more without the shouting and the shoving.

As he said, we have to find a way to live together as a human family!

5. I turned on Morning Joe a minute ago and they were showing a clip of the speech
Unfortunately, Joe just used it as an opportunity to launch into a diatribe about the "new" Gallup numbers and how pro-lifers will grow and "science" is on the side of pro-life, not pro-choice. Whatevever, Joe.

7. I really don't get this. Whether Pelosi knew or didn't know or
lied or didn't lied, is not the point. She didn't order any torture. She didn't create any torture. She didn't authorize any torture. She didn't torture. Suddenly those who tortured are off the hook in favor of a POTENTIAL lie.

9. Yes, the networks are determined to refocus the story on Pelosi,
instead of going after WHO made it happen in the first place.

And it's so ridiculous. So let's say Pelosi did know. What could she have done? She was bound under secrecy, so she couldn't tell anyone else about it. She could have written a stern letter to Bush, but he would have just laughed and wiped his butt with it when he ran out of Constitution.

This is not the story. Pelosi was in no position to do anything, as any action she took with this knowledge would have likely had treason charges brought against her.

The story is WHO ordered the torture. WHO made it happen. But I wouldn't expect our media to miss a chance to shit on a Democrat.

We need a new Fairness Doctrine. We need diversity in media ownership. And we need it now.

13. And as a member of a minority
marginalized by the exclusionary majority policies she had no power to stop them, and the secret nature of the briefing meant she was prohibited from discussing what she had witnessed.
The Republicans are confessing to war crimes; that's the real story.

17. If only there was a way to castrate the media for wrongly misleading the public about the truth.

8. Anyone notice
the freaking stark difference that the media treated the issue of prosecutions for torture/etc for the Bush administration, and the way they are all over Nancy Pelosi? Gee, it took Nancy Pelosi for them to start pretending to be journalists again. How special.

14. I'm pinching myself, because as much as I don't like Pelosi for taking Impeachment off of the table

she does NOT deserve this attention.

Damn M$M is outright Orwellian and not even trying to hide it. They truly believe that the American Public is STUPID.

If they only knew that most Americans consider the Main Stream USA Media as "not credible?"

Our M$M = Arrogant but sycophantic to the Military Industrial Complex (within both parties). :puke:

10. This is driving me crazy, how the people who promoted torture
are getting a pass, and it is an all out howl to skewer Pelosi on it.
