A little respect, please - reducing the rate of growth is not reducing current costs!
This is directed to President Obama and anyone else in the healthcare debate. If we cannot afford our current premiums, deductibles and co-pays (exactly what drives people to bankruptcy even when they are insured), then the thought that they will INCREASE at a 1.5% slower rate of growth, is supremely unexciting.

We don't need smokescreens that insult our basic intelligence. Let the industry make some REAL reductions in their PROFIT and executives compensations and excessive admin and overhead. Don't "negotiate" - TELL them what their margins may be. They are a REGULATED industry, are they not?

Better yet, remove them from the discussions entirely.
