If we are to consider if we are more or less safe under Obama
We need to ask how safe,in comparison, we felt on Sept 10. Knowing what we know now about the "Osama intends to strike" memo and other neglectful attitudes inside the Bush Whitehouse, there is no other conclusion than that we are far safer now with an administration that has its eyes open.

1. Well, I FELT very safe on 9/10.
I felt pretty safe on 9/12 too. I figured they spent their wad and did their worst. But yeah, having a reality-based CEO is a lot better than one who thinks he already knows everything. I'm pretty sure neither Bill Clinton not Al Gore would have tanked our military and economy by invading Iraq.

5. Al Gore would have actually listened to the memo and stopped 9/11

2. We're as safe as we can be from outsiders
I have doubts about how safe we are from domestic wackos and Limbeciles.

4. Both. I think the atrocities we've been responsible for over the
last 8 years are going to have a dangerous effect - there will be blowback in the future. Victims, their families and their countries will not forget what was done by the Bush admin.

However, I think we are much safer in the short term - the Obama administration is more competent to protect us and isn't using fear and terror to push an agenda. They have nothing at all to gain by allowing a terrorist incident to occur.

6. I feel secure in the knowledge that Obama is reading his PDBs each day.
If there's something in there of concern, he'll know about it.
