He would pick Rush Limbaugh over Colin Powell.. Open the doors boys and girls, the last of the moderates will be leaving the Republican station very soon:rofl:

EDIT
That quote was just made at the end of Face the Nation

3. I was going to post, but couldn't remember all the details of that portion.
Cheney had better watch it, or those doors he's shutting will never be opened again.

I'd take Colin Powell over both of those clowns. Cheney isn't even being intelligent. He is a hateful, bitter man.

8. Honest to God Vinca, I could not watch this guy, and I sat down for
the last 5 minutes, and caught it then.. I tried to watch it at the beginning with my husband, but when he started down the road to undermining our current foreign policy I had to walk away.. Makes you wonder what other outrageous thing that he said

16. Are you refering to the same Colin Powell
who covered up the My Lai massacre and summarized it like this? "In direct refutation of this portrayal is the fact that relations between American soldiers and the Vietnamese people are excellent."

He's the same ass who sent missiles to Iran in the Iran-Contra scandal.

He's been a cover-up/con artist since day one of his career, and his stripes never changed. Ethically challenged is putting it mildly.

I can't for the life of me figure out why democrats are so quick to embrace him.

17. sounds like Cheney just did more to restore
Powell's credibility than all Powell's mea culpa's possibly could.

So in his attempt to throw Powell under the bus, Cheney actually just hoisted him back up into a seat on the bus...while sliding back under the wheels and back down the sewer from which he crawled...

Don't know how any of you could watch it. I saw that ugly snarly sneer through the snow on my ancient teevee...and had to turn it off before the screen exploded in horror.

20.  Keep it up
Keep it up, Dicko! Remind all Americans each and every day on as many Fox Channels as can fit you that you and others COMMITTED TREASON AND GOT AWAY WITH MASS MURDER!

Every day. Don't go back into the undisclosed hidey hole like usual. Shout it on the rooftops every day, Dick! Tell us how good torture is and obama is making us less safe.

We just can't hear enough from you Dick. We want to relive each of your days for the last eight years. Share those moments of your greatness with us, Dick?

OR at least guest on Rachel's show?

26. Did the "Democrat" party do this in 2001? Or in 81? Or....
.... ANY time after a major Democratic party defeat ... did we EVER suffer from this kind of political civil war? PLEASE tell me this whole thing we're enjoying is somewhat unique and not just a typical swing of the pendulum.

30. It's the GOP play book. It worked for them with Clinton.
Edited on Sun May-10-09 03:36 PM by Overseas
They got him to do be more conservative with their constant barrage against him.

They got NAFTA.

They defeated the first serious attempt at national health insurance in a long time.

They got lots of Democrats to hold back on criticizing Clinton because he was always under attack from the right.

Made Democrats think they had to give Republicans more concessions because their party was under attack and Clinton had shamed us all by getting caught for consensual sex play with someone other than his wife.

Lots of concessions were given and the GOP carried on with their Contract On America.

I'm just glad that this time more people understand the Republicans' obstructionist nature.

I just hope they can convince the Democrats who want to keep making concessions that that just makes Dems seem weak and foolish for conceding to promoters of the ideologies that got our nation into the miserable state we're in right now.

Democrats will win more respect and votes by standing tall in defense of the people, rather than the interests of the giant corporations who drove Republican policy.

of the rushlicon party and letting Powell know he did not appreciate his endorsement of Barack Obama for President when john mccain was a perfectly good substitute for the fascist bush-cheney years.

34. He tried to sound so nonchalant and casual about it, but you could
hear the venom dripping from his voice, like he was ready with that answer and couldn't wait to deliver it. I think it's funny that Mr. 12 percent approval hates Powell and his 80 percent that much. Waaaaaa

Obama/Emanuel knew exactly what they were doing when they trotted out Rush as the leader of the GOP, and now Cheney has put the cherry on top of that cake by thowing himself into the ring. Emanuel is probably sitting in his office rubbing his hands together and grinning like a fool!

Thank you, Jesus.
