Has anyone with a military career been appointed to the SC?

1. The Supreme Court is for judges.

Very few non-judges have ever been appointed.
And rightly so.
The Supreme Court is not a place for admirals!

There's a lot of speculation regarding people who are not judges, but it's really nothing but a game to play to fill the time. Obama will no doubt nominate a judge.
