Why I don't think Pam Karlan will be nominated
I'm a big admirer of Karlan's. I've watched her for years on the Newshour. And that's why she probably won't be nominated. Not because she's openly gay, but because she's been so political. She's written and commented on political issues for years and that, rightly or wrongly, makes her extremely controversial. I'd love to see her nominated, but I don't see it happening, politics being the art of the possible, yada, yada, yada.

1. I personally don't think there is much suspense. Its going to be Kagan
They knew this in my opinion when they were making her SG. Shes really young, already vetted, and meets Obama's criteria

2. I don't think she's the de facto nominee
I believe it might be Diane Wood.

I like Karlan too...but would also like Allyson K. Duncan to get some consideration.

6. Wow. Anyone else feel old, other than me? We could seriously have a S.C. Justice named "Allyson."
Will wonders never cease.
