1. Wow ... I'll never forget that night.
I'm so glad my kids got to experience being happy about a presidential election. I've rarely had that experience in my four-plus decades on the planet.

16. Just another stroll down Memory Lane, Cha
I was a history major. It's what I'm good at. The sesquicentennial of The Civil War excites me to no end. With a black man as President. Just the ultimate. Imagine Obama giving a speech at Gettysburg. He'll have to win a second term to accomplish that. He'll do it.

18. I'm liking history more and more.
It took a lot of history for The Perfect Storm. I especially like going back to points in Obama's campaign and election night to put in perspective how we actually got to this miracle.

19. Alot of points, Cha.
You're turning point? Just curious. When you knew he could win this thing?

21. I had crazy times when I thought
Obama could win when others thought it couldn't happen and then on Election night I rented movies 'cause I was too freaked out to watch the election returns. My son on Kauai called to say a guy on the road who stopped to help him 'cause he ran out of gas asked him how it felt to have a Black man as president(he was a mccain supporter). We still didn't know if it was real or not and my son said he would call back when he got home to verify.

That's another reason I like these videos..because I didn't see them the first time. Pathetic, I know.. I had faith the whole time but on another hand after 8 years of hell it was hard for me to believe it could actually happen when it came to crunch time.

17. Thanks for the memories. What a night. Watching TV, emailing
family, posting here on DU, all at the same time. It was fun sharing it all with you folks here on DU. When it was announced, they not only went nuts all over the country, this website went nuts too. It was beautiful.
