3. North Carolina or Indiana.
That would kick the GOP right in the nuts.

If they still have any by 2012.

Texas is trending blue, even if it doesn't go blue in 2012.

12. How about Honalulu?
Anchorage is too cold. (But would be fine, too, if in July)

Millions of Democrats have always wanted to go there.

Charlotte would not even have enough hotel rooms. Chapel Hill would not work either housing would again be a problem.

17. As long as you keep the convention either of them out of Philadelphia fine by me
2000 GOP convention was a giant pain in the ass.

Protesters everywhere, shutting down major high ways, increased police, national media.

Giant freaking circus.

North Carolina would be a great place for our convention. Agree that it would help us hold it in the blue column, too.

27. Charlotte
Charlotte would be a good choice and we are already pushing it with Gov. Kaine. He spoke at our Jefferson Jackson dinner this past Saturday and I know several people put in their pitch for us.

We have the venues already and there are several new hotels being built.

31. Or have it in MO, IN, OH, FL
NC is a great idea, but also Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, or Florida

You can win without Ohio. Any former Red State is o.k. with me.

Or have the Convention & VP accept nomination in one state and the giant rally (Like mile high)for Presidential nom. in another state.

It provides nothing electorally, but thought it ought to be mentioned.
