The rescue story of the American captain held by Somali pirates is a great story. But at the same time, I see all of this as an incredible act of hypocrisy on that part of Obama and the liberal media . After all, didn’t Obama constantly and sanctimoniously condemn the last administration for water-boarding terrorists that masterminded the 9/11 attacks ? He did so even though the CIA repeatedly said these interrogation techniques were used in rare instances to protect Americans from mass-scale terrorist attacks, and that these techniques were ultimately successful in thwarting such attacks. Yet we still heard Obama and other lefties suggest that the practice of water-boarding terrorists was actually inhumane and that it damaged our moral standing around the world. So why then do these same people praise Obama when they describe how Navy Seals were authorized to shoot three Somalis to rescue a single American? Is it because shooting a terrorist is more humane than scaring one? The logic used by these elites is truly twisted.
