1. I haven't been here for a few days. So I'm thinking...

Krugman's columns have been a topic of discussion for most of this century.

3. I guess so. I feel so out of step because I don't take Krugman's word as gospel- it is just his

opinion.

I disagreed with a lot of his columns and blogs during the Primaries and Caucuses so I'm not sure why we are all supposed to believe he has a friggin crystal ball now.

Everything has been so overwrought lately. ugggghhh.

7. Krugman was absolutely RIGHT on the housing bubble. He predicted it for months before it happened.

He was like a Cassandra and nobody would listen. I would read him and think "holy shit, if this guy is right we are all so screwed."

Well, look what happened...

If you don't believe me you can google his predictions and I'm sure it would be fairly easy to find several of his columns where he was practically screaming about what was gonna happen...

...and was trying to figure out how the Democratic Underground could become my alma mater...

I will say that although neither got me started in a career, I am learning more from DU...;)
