Remember Last Month's Talking Point? Obama Is Too Somber and Serious - He Needs To Be Upbeat
Edited on Mon Mar-23-09 11:58 AM by Median Democrat
It is amazing how the corporate media tries to attack everything. I understand the Republicans are attacking Obama for being upbeat in recent appearances. Yet, just last month they were attacking Obama for being too serious and somber, and saying that he was depressing Americans and causing the stock market to crash. It is funny that all the negative things in the universe can be traced to Obama.

• Somber and Serious: Obama's address was almost entirely free of campaign style rhetoric or obvious applause lines. Its seriousness of tone contrasted sharply with the mood of the masses gathered to hear it; in the run up to the inauguration chants of "Obama" rang through the crowd and even afterward the crowd was in a feisty mood -- offering mocks cheers and waving goodbye as former President George W. Bush flew overhead in a helicopter. Not so, Obama who, right from the start of his speech made clear that this was no partisan address; he talked of "gathering clouds and raging storms" and the need at a time as dire as this one for all Americans to do their part to make the nation great again.

1. Obama wins because either way he gets free TV coverage, and viewers get
to see what he's up to. He always comes off as a strong leader, despite the commentators, and in fact the commentators appear silly.

Isn't that what's going on here?

Too funny.
