Just for argument's sake, let's say that Obama's mother was not an American citizen at the time of his birth - doesn't the mere fact that he was born in the United States grant him citizenship? If I recall correctly, these same "concerned people" also want to prevent foreign nationals from coming to the US and giving birth because that child, born here, creates an attachment to the US since he or she is, simply by virtue of being born in the US, a natural US citizen. Why are they trying to say that in a similar circumstance, being born in the US does not convey natural born American citizenship. It is difficult to think of words that are acceptable in polite society to describe these birthers, although "scum sucking, bottom feeding, pus filled, parasite ridden maw worms" does come close.
