In the first appearance of a sitting president on the Tonight Show, Obama, who was on twice as a candidate, says that he was shocked when he learned of the AIG bonuses, and that the broader issue is the culture that allowed for the bonuses, according to a AP report. The remarks in his taped appearance echo those in a statement on AIG he released early today. (7:59 p.m.)
