All of you complaining incessantly about everything
i don't think it's worth 400k/year to try to save your asses.

thankfully the president does.

sometimes i don't know why either. but he's a better person than i am.

(and remember i address this ONLY to incessant complainers that are judging this whole administration on their ability to fashion a fix for the economy in 55 days, that want everybody fired, that are creating a firestorm right here at DU over virtually everything Obama says and tries to do, when there aren't simple answers, when economic circumstances call for sober and cautious reactions --all things that would not be done if some here had their way)

3. Not to intercede, as I overall do like President Obama and his plans so far, but picture this:

You're driving along and you didn't see the "Danger: Cliff ahead" sign. You ultimately see there is no more road in front of you. You think change might be a good thing. Do you tap the breaks or do you ram your foot down the pedal?

Granted, if the road was in Alaska and was sheer ice at 20 below 0, tapping might be preferable... especially given the stone cold feeling people have right now... but on the same line of thought, some people think change can only be done BY putting one's foot down.

I don't have the answers and I doubt my metaphor has any validity or point to it. It's 7:42PM and I'm lonely, so I've got time to contemplate this stuff. (at least I didn't say I was horny...)

5. I love President Obama, but I don't like everyting he does,
and I certainly don't like what I'm seeing now, but it's my right to disagree if I wish to.

6. didn't say you had to agree
just a dose of realism for those who expect miracles from him or to be pleased with every move he makes.

and a dose of realism to those who expected these things by today.

9. I never used to vote at all, but then I was told:

Are we changing that now? I could go right back to not giving a shit and not voting if that's what this is all about.

Doesn't matter. Some people will interpret what you say into what they want to hear. For more than a few it's a way of life around here on many issues including this one. Thanks.

13. Not me baby, I'm happy as a clam!
Fuck AIG. The only thing I care about is that we get reimbursed for those bonuses. Everyone's on it now and Geithner's letter to Congress has pretty-much assured us that we will get the bonus money back. One way or another.

If the economy was in full recovery mode, life would be damn-near perfect.
