Too Big to Live
Edited on Wed Mar-18-09 05:00 PM by Armstead
The mantra behind the bailouts is that these monolithic banks and corporations have to be saved because they are "too big to fail."

In my opinion that is ass backwards.

I don't care about the AIG bonuses. What matters is that AIG should not have become so big in the first place.

Anytime a private corporation is allowed to become so big and monopolistic that the health of the entire economy depends on them, that corporation should be dismantled.

We need a more diverse economy. Allowing these mega corporations and banks to form is the core screw up of the last 30 years.

We should find ways to put these companies to sleep, and redistribute the power and wealth they have acquired into a more diverse and competative marketplace.

Not to mention media regulations....

7. I almost yelled back at ya, til I saw the sarcasm thingy-- but I must admit..
I do agree with conservatives who believe we should let the corporations and banks who screwed up so royally pay the consequences of the same "free market" nonsense the corps have been shoving down our throats all these years.
