the amendment allowing bonusses incase you didn't know

Quote
The prohibition required under clause (i) shall not be construed to prohibit any bonus payment required to be paid pursuant to a written employment contract executed on or before February 11, 2009, as such valid employment contracts are determined by the Secretary or the designee of the Secretary.

4. I'm sick and tired of them all! You can blame AIG all you want, but it's really congress who
is to blame and Geithner for lack of adding restrictions. Giving money to AIG is like letting the fox into the henhouse, who the hell are they kidding!!

22. Why don't you read:
Indeed, Dodd's amendment as introduced directed the Treasury secretary to require each Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) recipient to "meet appropriate standards for executive compensation and corporate governance": "a prohibition on such TARP recipient paying or accruing any bonus, retention award, or incentive compensation during the period that the obligation is outstanding to at least the 25 most highly-compensated employees, or such higher number as the Secretary may determine is in the public interest with respect to any TARP recipient."

And stop pushing RW BS.

29. and is he not THE guy on the finance committee.. Actually Dodd should have
have forced the issue back in 2008 when they were first working on the bailout. The fact is that if a company promised bonuses in April and is broke in September - there is no law that says they have to pay them.
