Yes, Bush sang a little ditty for them all and they laughed and clapped.

"I spent my days clearing brush
I clear my head of all the fuss
But the fuss you made over harriet and brownie
Down the lane I look and here comes Scooter
Finally free of the prosecutor"

Hahaha! Remember how he took more vacation time than any other president in history? Remember when he tried to appoint a complete moron to the Supreme Court? Remember that time he SUCCEEDED in appointing an incompetent crony to head FEMA? That was such a gas! He commuted Scooter's sentence. Remember that? Hi-larious!

"That old White house is behind me,
I am once again carefree,
Don't have to worry 'bout a crisis in Pyongyang.
Down the lane I look, Dick Cheney is strolling
With documents he'd been withholding,
It's good to touch the brown brown grass of home."

Oh Dick Cheney...you crazy ol' obstructionist.

You know, I understand that we want the press to hold Obama accountable. I agree they should. It's necessary. But, god help me, I cannot pretend that I do not harbor some bitterness over what is happening. I just can't help it. It would be different if I believed that the press was truly reforming its ways and when the next Republican gets sworn in as CIC, they will hold him accountable too. But that's just not what history has shown. So they will continue to come down hard on Obama. Sometimes they'll ask good, important, questions the public deserves and needs to know. And sometimes Chip Reid will be speaking. Let's just hope this bout of newly found journalistic integrity sticks this time.

1. And this year, Pres. Obama is skipping it to spend time with his family. Nice snub.
I am still disgusted at the memory of MTP media whore David Gregory yukking it up with Karl Rove.

2. I am so glad the President isn't attending. They can talk shit about
him not attending but if he went they would call him party boy.

4. According to some on DU, there is no media bias
the media is supposedly only interested in sensationalism. Which is why they raked Obama over the coals for Blago, bipartisanship, economic stimulus and AIG.

Doesn't explain why they sat silently by while the most sensational of stories were actually being committed: torture and theft in both Iraq and Wall Street.
