Poll question: What condition will most DUers be later tonight for St. Patty's Day?

1. sorry, I don't celebrate the day of the "saint" who chased all of the "serpents" (another name for
the followers of the indigenous belief system, ie, the druids) out of ireland padraic has the blood of many on his hands, my sister and brother heathens. why would I celebrate?

6. Me either. Am working also, but agree with you.
I am happy to see people celebrate being Irish, if they want to, but not to celebrate religious oppression. Call me uppity, but I agree.

Needing a holiday to get drunk and them overdoing it to the extreme is for the stupids. You want to get drunk for no reason except that everyone else is getting drunk...go for it...just don't expect anyone who thinks overdoing it for no good reason at all to not think you are being silly. I'll have a few drinks in moderation this Friday. Call me then.

5. Another option: Sober as a judge and not participating in racist polls!
Do you really think that only drunkards celebrate this Holiday? Would you say something similar about another religious or ethnic group? Shame on you, this is blatantly disrespectful and racist.

...Did we forget the sarcasm thingy or are you just humor impaired? Or just looking to be outraged by something new? Sheesh...go have a Pint and chill the fuck out. Or...just stay outraged that people get drunk on St. Patty's day and enjoy it...try not to look at the drunken parties going on in Ireland...that would REALLY piss you off.

10. Actually they don't particularly drink any more on St. Paddies in Ireland than any other.

The Irish drink and sing and have a good old time without purposefully binging as we do. We turned this one into a drunken idjit fest all on our own.

19. Not strictly true: many of us get slaughtered drunk in an heroic attempt to fulfil the stereotype...

I gave up heavy drinking. But life without a 6-pack every now and then is a sobering proposition, so cheers. :)

22. i spent the day sober, i'm not a big drinker to begin with and i don't want to be around
who are drunk. This might one area where i'm a prude, i don't want my kid to see me drunk ever, i saw my own parent drunk a lot and it did nothing but make me worry.
