Poll question: Dare I watch Ari on Hardball?
I heard Ari say something about how thankful Obama should be that Bush got rid of Hussein so that he can't attack us again. I also heard Tweety trashed him at the end. Is the take down worth the risk to my well being to watch?

2. I have to say - I found it jaw-dropping when I watched it live - knowing
it would be up on Huffington Post in short order (I didn't know, however, that it would be the headliner).

Why wouldn't anyone watch it? It's frightening, telling, entertaining and disturbing all at once... I agree with you, rwheeler31 - it should be brought up and discussed a lot. Fleischer (sp?) either wasn't able to think and talk at the same time - or he re-confirmed some serious ugliness in the mindset of the administration and his boss. Either way, I think it should be analyzed ad nauseum because I think the latter reason is probably closer to the truth. Ick.

3. NO! Ari was the ultimate BS bazooka,
firing crap all over the place. Tweety did a good job of redirecting much of the slime back at him. BUT, with the amount of BS dispensed, some was un-swatable. ...so to speak.

5. Only if you watch the video of KO afterwards
talking about how full of crap he is. Then you can stomach it.

6. I don't understand the second option here. What's wrong with being pissed off?
I've never understood the idea that we shouldn't listen to our adversaries. When your adversaries are neocons, you really do have to keep an eye on them.

7. There is only so much I can take. I listen to/read them often.
sometimes Matthews' show is too much politics and not enough news for me.

I watched it, it was worth it, Ari didn't make me mad. I've always thought of him as smart, and he showed a bit of that last night. Ari said Bush deserves much credit for keeping us safe after 9/11. To which Chris wanted to say: "Then do you accept responsibility for 9/11?" And Ari knew exactly where Chris was going: you can't take credit for keeping us safe from terrorist attacks after 9/11 unless you are willing to take some responsibility for the attack ON 9/11. Either the administration is responsible or it is just a matter of luck as to who is in office when they attack.

Ari knew exactly where Chris was going with that line of questioning and cut Chris off early and would not let Tweety articulate his point. He even got all indignant about it: How DARE you accuse us of having any responsibility for 9/11. Ari got Chris off his game and Chris' response at the end was lame. He should have made his point then.

the one thing that did piss me off was Chris not cutting him off when Ari said "he (meaning Saddam) attacked us once, we had to eliminate him so he didn't do it again." What was he talking about? When did Saddam attack us? Is this part of the "we went to Iraq because they attacked us on 9/11" shit? Chris shoulda gone after him then too.

In all fairness to Matthews, Ari knows how to play the game. He could see where Chris was going so he talked over him and acted all indignant and stuff so that Matthews couldn't even ask the questions Ari didn't want to answer.
