2. It is the stupidest of lines

Being unable to defeat them on the quality of his arguments

They now want to defeat him on the quantity of his arguments

I wish somebody would tell one of these old white guys that if they think the President is doing too much that they should go home and take a nap because tomorrow we tackle climate change.

They kept asking "Where's the Change?"

this is usually followed by how creepy it is that so many people LIKE and APPROVE of him...! (aparently they were OK with the fake 99 percent approval rating for the War Criminal seven years ago...) - we gotta STOP this "worship" of him!!!

I heard this yesterday...

5. Well, that's because he is still too popular.
Too popular and doing too much. That sounds like something to be worried about....NOT!

6. They're terrified he might do something right... because
if he's successful and his policies work -- the GOP's "worst case scenario" becomes a reality.

It'll be all over for the GOP in 2010 and the next 20, 30, 40 years.

No wonder they want him to fail, it's their only hope.

7. He's too smart! Why is he so tall? If he's happily married, how could he possibly
keep his mind on politics? I don't like his shoes. He can't really be President cuz he was born in Hawaii. He's not a good enough basketball player. Maybe if I yell and throw enough pooh, somebody will notice me

8. I agree with the GOP on this one
Instead of actually doing what he's supposed to do and governing the nation well, he should be relaxing on a ranch in Texas for most of the first year of his presidency (and admittedly for the next eight years as well) and ignoring memos entitled "Bin Laden determined to strike at US" which detail complex terrorist threats. Or when he is at work, he should be trying to restart the Cold War and withdrawing from Kyoto and antagonizing allies in whatever way he can. After all that worked such a treat for their hero and role model during his first year

10. I was talkin' to my wife last night about this...
Amazing hypocrisy...it's the same as the GOP did the last 8 years, but reversed...

EVERY DAY the shrub administration did MULTIPLE illegal & immoral things...but our wonderful media at the time decided they can only cover a story every few days, so 98% of the policies went through uncontested. The democrats & people that should have been the gatekeepers let more than they should have through, simply because there was so much crap to deal with...

So, we have a SMART president that saw & learned this tactic, but is playing it in reverse...I LOVE it!!! He's hitting every problem at once, which will allow most of what he wants through uncontested (or barely mentioned at the worst). We have a media that is NOT going along with his policies (as they don't benefit the top 1%...the 'media's people'), so they're trying to hold his feet to the fire more than they did Bush (gave that motherfucker a REALLY FREE ride), but once again, the shear volume is more than they have the capacity to deal with (you continuously dumb down your audience, well, they STAY dumbed down even when you don't want them that way).

We live in interesting times...

Remember when the media was saying in December that Blago-gate would hurt Obama? They wanted so desperately for him to be involved.

http://mediamatters.org/countyfair/200812170004

"Nobody in the Beltway likes to be left off the CW bandwagon, and Newsweek's Fineman finally got his ticket punched with this Blago/Obama doozie. Gee, nothing loaded in this language, right?

-"The Blago Distraction"

-"isn't great news for Team Obama"

-"a little suspicious"

-"It was widely speculated"

-"Emanuel (and, by extension, Obama) could pay a price"

-"the Chicago mess simmers"

-"there seems little doubt that Emanuel will survive"

-"Emanuel already has blown up"

-"he is already a bigger story than is good for either him or his boss"
