One minor little comment about the Peregruzka button
As we all know. Secretary of State Clinton gave her Russian counterpart a special gift on her trip to Moscow--a "reset" button to be used to "reset" the US-Russian relationship--that had the Russian word for "overloaded" on it instead of the Russian word for "reset."

How come no one but me has noticed the Russian word "peregruzka" is written in the wrong alphabet? I swear, half the fucking government was once devoted to watching the Soviets, some of those people still work there, and NONE of them noticed the word wasn't written in Cyrillic letters?

2. It does seem odd that the State Dept. couldn't come up with a Russian speaker to get this right.

4. I did. I can read Russian fairly well, but not speak it. Russia was de-emphasized...
for a long time - and study of Russia. Then you had a dinosauer - Rice running the State Dept. She said "the only thing the Russians understand is force." THAT kind of attitude.

They need to be weeding these folks out. It will take time.

Probably the same protocol chief who chose the DVDs for Gordon Brown.
