I've been looking at the legal arguments being used by the Birthers and was dumbfounded when I realized what they are actually doing.
These "attorneys" (and I do use that term losslely when you look at the tinfoilhat nutters writing briefs and pleadings) most recently used an interpleader, which is normally used in cases involving insurance claims. That was laughed out of court today (See PatGund's thread
here). Now they are all using
Quo Warranto briefs, which if I'm not mistaken are generally utilized by the justice department against corprate officers when they abuse their powers.
And it finally struck me.
These idiots are approaching the law the same way Yoo and the rest of the Bushies approached the law. They are twisting the basic meaning of existing law in any way convenient to fit the arguments they demand they be able to make, regadless of how illogical and blatantly against existing law.
Chilling how Yoo is now affecting tinfoilhat nutter cases, isn't it?
