President Obama may soon be in a position to have a 60 vote filibuster proof Senate.
The Republicans have gone after him with everything, threatening that he should not re-stand, that they will not raise money for him if he does, so now according to HuffPo he ups the anti.
GOP stop playing games or he quits. Giving 60 votes to Harry.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/02/27/jim-bunning-threatens-to_n_170665.htmlNow that kind of talk should send Democratic big wigs to Senator Gunning. If he carries out his action, maybe no one will run against him in2010, or he could be given a Committee or both. Of course GOP big wiggers will be running in his direction, but their approach seems to be he is down so kick him.
So that leaves the Democratic Senators in an introducing position. They could have two independent Senators to deal with for their 60 votes, and of course the so called "moderate" Democrats, who were behind many more of tge cuts to the stimulus bill than the Republicans.
So should the Party Whips go after Bunning and offer him a deal, and if he does "cross the floor" would he be more reliable than Lieberman or the so called "moderates".?
