. . .even though courtside seats are for insiders its not lie he insulated in box and I really, really like that!

Isn't great to have president that is able to drink a beer and the rest of the country doesn't have to worry he fell off the wagon!

That might have lead to that misconception - or just miswriting.

...and just 4 to extend a middle finger.

After working out my digital muscles over the past eight years, I'm looking forward to learning how to smile again.

41. I remember Kennedy and adored him but the difference is
that Kennedy was so rich and so glamorous and in that generation
photos were professional and staged.

His family was such a model for our country and the way he understood what was good for the people inspired the same kind of confidence.

The difference is Obama is " one of the guys" and did not grow up wealthy.

So, Obama is truly a man of the people -- I'd say more like Clinton.

52. I agree but I'm talking more about appearance and perception
There was a glamorous "cool" about the Kennedys and it was in part because of their youth.

When you saw Kennedy in his black sunglasses it was a sharp change from everything that had come before.

33. This must have been the thrill of a lifetime for the players.
"I didn't want the ball to be thrown up until he walked in, either, because I didn't want to miss that,'' said Caron Butler, one of eight Wizards to score at least 10 points, the most players in double-digits in one game for the franchise since Feb. 5, 1993.

"I was telling the refs, like, 'Man, let's warm up some more, then. Let's stall. You all want to play tic-tac-toe or something just to kill time?' I was truly nervous for the first time in my career just to have the president over there,'' Butler said.
----

Butler pumped his fist in Obama's direction after one 3-pointer by teammate Nick Young. JaVale McGee rose high above the rim to slam in Butler's alley-oop pass, then raised his hand to his forehead and saluted Obama.

"We were thinking about it before the game - something to do - and I just came up with that,'' McGee said.

Like everyone else, it feels great to have a president who can go to an event like this and just hang out (or appear to). Any reports on how much gate security there was?

I went to the All Star game in Cinci back around 86 or 87, and Pappy Bush (then VP) was throwing out the first pitch. The place was CRAWLING with Secret Service, guys talking up their sleeves, and it was obvious Pappy had on a kevlar vest, which didn't help his pitching motion. I don't recall, but I'm sure he was shuttled to a skybox right away. Also, Styx lead singer Dennis DeYoung was seated just a couple boxes away!* (I managed to get semi-VIP tickets because my company had just signed a big contract for a scoreboard sign, and I don't think any of the company honchos thought to ask about freebies!)

I just hope Rush and them don't turn this into Obama having beer after beer and getting drunk and irresponsible and leering at blondes while the country burns. As Rummy might say, "He's just having the same beer, over and over again!"

*Sarcastic enthusiasm... even then, I knew Styx was a joke. LOL
