487 days in Crawford.
Edited on Thu Feb-26-09 02:22 PM by Bicoastal
That's how much time Bush spent at "the ranch," out of the 2,920 days he was president. It comes to about 17% of his entire presidency.

To get an idea of how much vacation time that is, if Obama had continued Bush's average for the short amount of time he's been president, he would have already spent SIX WHOLE DAYS in Chicago. It goes without saying, though, that Bush is now the all-time record-holder among Presidents when it comes to vacation time, surpassing even Saint Ronny.

So why do I bring this up now? For one reason: when you consider all of the trips Air Force One and other Presidential vehicles made halfway across the continent, with all of the fuel and supplies and personnel and accommodations that entails, just so George could "clear brush" and play the common man for the cameras and get a little shuteye...

...Republicans have no right to criticize President Obama for Executive Branch Expenditures over the next four to eight years. None at all.

...it is the right to either 1 or 2 hours a day in the prison yard.

3. I think KO did a piece on B's 'vacation' days
counting Maine, Camp David, & Crawford..... as I recall * spent 1/3 of his tenure away from the White House. This was a man clearly uneasy w/ living in a house filled w/ history and ghosts of competency.
