1. I have great respect for Sen. Durbin,
He is one of the reasons that Sen. Obama felt he should run for President.

2. Illinois politics is so bad
that politicians in Louisiana point to it with pride when their own corruption is in the news (which is just about a daily event.)

11. Agreed. If we learned nothing else from this sordid episode, Burris will hang on like a pitbull. nt

5. Senator Burris needs to go. He is like pouring gas on a fire. He is a Gop talking point. He is an
arrogant prick.

6. Let Burris stay on and complete his term. The 'thugs are pressuring for an
"open election" here in Illinois so they can slip a 'thuglican in under the guise of the Dems are soooo corrupt.

Politics is dirty and they all have mud on their hands.

Don't fall for their trap, - leave him there and he will vote appropriately in the time he has left.

10. We need to get him out of there quick, so Gov. Quinn can make a smooth appointment.
The only reason he was seated was because he was a sure D vote and the stimulus bill was coming up. Quinn is now governor and he will make a solid Democratic appointment that no one will challenge. If anything the Senate should try to expel him.

13. The more people ask this egomaniac to resign- the less likely he will
He'll need to be prosecuted and formally expelled from the Senate, otherwise he's not going anywhere.
