This is birth certificate BS has led at least one soldier to insubordination, its getting DANGEROUS
Edited on Tue Feb-24-09 08:25 AM by wndycty
I am so sick of this shit. Could you imagine what would have happened had folks on the left pulled this shit under GW? We would have been labeled anti-American and feared for our lives. But for some reason these dumb fucks are not facing any serious blow back for how much they are attempting to undermine the President of the United States. When you have active duty soldiers questioning the eligibility of the president that lays the ground for potential moody.

I know its World Net Daily, however what they are reporting is a grave action. It is one thing to be a conscientious objector its an ABSOLUTE different thing to question the fitness of the POTUS.

Soldier doubts eligibility, defies president's orders
'As an officer, my sworn oath to support and defend our Constitution requires this'

A U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

The statement was publicized by California attorney Orly Taitz who, along with her Defend Our Freedom Foundation, is working on a series of legal cases seeking to uncover Obama's birth records and other documents
that would reveal whether he meets the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

"As an active-duty officer in the United States Army, I have grave concerns about the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of president of the United States," wrote Scott Easterling in a "to-whom-it-may-concern" letter.

Obama "has absolutely refused to provide to the American public his original birth certificate, as well as other documents which may prove or disprove his eligibility," Easterling wrote. "In fact, he has fought every attempt made by concerned citizens in their effort to force him to do so."

I have NEVER heard of the William Howard Taft University...and I went to law school in Orange County, CA, where this thing is supposedly located.

I am guessing a correspondence school and not a real law school with trial practice, etc., courses.

27. Close....
It's a "Distance Learning" (i.e. on-line) Law School, and as such is not accredited by the ABA. California is the only state that allows students of on-line law schools to sit for and take the bar.

Dr. Orly (she's a dentist as well) is one of the lawyers for Alan Keyes case, was the attorney in the rejected by the Supreme Court case Lightfoot v Bowen, and has another case she's trying to get together with State representatives from OK, TN, MI, and NH so far. She's also had been trying to get together her military case, (WND lies, she's been openly calling for service personnel to join her case.) for a while, but all she's gotten has been retired personnel.

31. Thanks for the info....
...IMO, she is an idiot.

The facts are: There is a valid birth certificate produced by the State of Hawaii itself. Dr. Lawyer needs to got back and drill teeth and stop the legal bullshit.

Reminds me of when my husband ~~ also a lawyer ~~ had a case where opposing counsel was both a lawyer and an MD. After a deposition wherein Hubbie had been accompanied by an MD, the conversation on their walk back to the car went like this:

MD: "I sure as hell hope he is a better lawyer than he is a doctor."

Hubbie: "I was hoping he is a better doctor than he is a lawyer."

History repeats....:hi:

46. Indeed.....
As I said, Dr. Orly has been trying to get service personnel on her lawsuits for a while.

http://defendourfreedoms.org/ATTENTIONALLMILITARYPERSONNEL.htm

'I agree to be a plaintiff in the legal action to be filed by Orly Taitz, Esq. in a PETITION FOR A DECLARATORY JUDGEMENT THAT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT of the U.S., nor TO BE COMMANDER IN CHIEF of the U.S. ARMED FORCES, in that I am or was a sworn member of the U.S. military (subject to recall), and therefore when serving as an active member of the military, I would be unable to follow any orders given by a Constitutionally unqualified Commander In Chief, since by doing so I would be subject to charges of aiding and abetting fraud and committing acts of treason. "

Not to mention the parents of service personnel

http://defendourfreedoms.org/youngUSsoldier.htm

"Currently my child is serving under the orders of Mr. Obama as Commander in Chief. If my child refuses to take orders issued by Mr. Obama, as illegitimate Commander in Chief, based on the Uniform Code of Military Justice, my child will be subject to a Court-Martial proceeding with punishment up to execution. If my child agrees to take orders from Mr. Obama, he will be following an illegal order, in which case he also will be subject to a Court-Martial proceeding with penalty up to execution.

As a parent, I am greatly concerned about this situation and I would like to be represented in a legal action seeking damages from Mr. Obama and Ms. Pelosi for great emotional distress inflicted upon me by their actions.

I consent to be represented in this action by:

Dr. Orly Taitz, ESQ"

but I really doubt there will be sufficient numbers to start a coup. Let 'em rant and gnash their teeth. Let the courts martial begin. The birthers are less of a threat than the PUMAkooks were and we see how far they got. The Supremes have already slapped down suits and the few pols that have started mouthing off are already marginalizing themselves.

A minority can only be wrong so often until they kook themselves out of existence.

Meh. Fie and a pox on all their houses.

60. "The birthers are less of a threat than the PUMAkooks were"
I can't believe how many people still want to believe this.

How much crazier do these fools have to get before people take them seriously? What has to happen? More attempts on Obama's life?? Ones that actually come close to threatening him or his family??

There was a poster yesterday, I think it was PretzelBill, who said "I want these fools in Guantanamo." That's EXACTLY how I feel. The fact that these people not only are emboldened to keep posting this crap OPENLY and flagrantly on the Internet for the entire world to see with no fear of repercussions lets me know that something is amiss. And more people are lining up to join their idiotic ranks, like this @sshole and some Republican Congresspeople.

Do I think that they are being watched?? I sure do. But I want them to KNOW that they are being watched. A crackle on their home phone lines when they're talking to other Birthers. Long periods of being unable to post messages to their little hate sites and then suddenly being able to post again but with several posts "missing" and no one knows why. Mobile phones suddenly unable to connect to networks. Black Lincoln Town Cars sitting idly a few houses down from theirs. Maybe then these fools will think twice about continuing this foolishness because I honestly believe that if this keeps up, someone will get hurt. And they better pray that it's not our President.

64. Yes and No
Yes to the 88, 92, 94, 117, and 134.

No to 89, 90, and 133,

The President is not considered a "Commissioned Officer" since he has never taken a commission or the oath that commissioned officers take. He is Commander in Chief of the Arm Forces, but not a member of them. To be a "Commissioned Officer: you have to be a member of the Armed Forces, be appointed as an officer, and take the oath of a commissioned officer.

"Conduct Unbecoming" is normally thrown in as a charge when an officer does something stupid that embarrasses his command and/or service. Whether we think this guy is an idiot or not, he is refusing an order because he thinks it is illegal. Officers are normally not charged with refusing a legal order and conduct unbecoming outside a combat zone and when there is not booze involved.

And when it was pointed out that Chester Arthur's father was a British subject when Arthur was born, he made up the shit about Arthur scamming the United States (even though his father's status was well knwn when he was elected Veep).

It's funny that they went after Arthur in the reverse order that the nuts today are going after Obama.

51. Shoot his ass. Just like they did Eddie Slovik (for doing a hell of
a lot less.)

Eddie didn't want out of the service. He wanted to serve. He just refused to kill.

58.  Slovik never claimed to be a conscious objector
He didn't want to go into the Hürtgen Forest. Figured he was safer in the stockade then on the line.

Didn't work out so well for him.

66. Yep U.S. Army made an example of Slovik

The 28th Division was scheduled to begin an attack in the Hurtgen Forest. The coming attack was common knowledge in the unit, and casualty rates were expected to be very high, as the prolonged combat in the area had been unusually grueling. The Germans were determined to hold, and terrain and weather reduced the usual American advantages in armor and air support to almost nothing. Soldiers indicated they preferred to be imprisoned rather than remain in combat, and the rates for desertion and other crimes had begun to rise.

Slovik was charged with desertion to avoid hazardous duty and court martialed on November 11, 1944. The prosecutor, Captain John Green, presented witnesses to whom Slovik had stated his intention to "run away." The defense counsel, Captain Edward Woods, announced that Slovik had elected not to testify. The nine officers of the court found Slovik guilty and sentenced him to death. The sentence was reviewed and approved by the division commander, Major General Norman Cota.

On December 9, Slovik wrote a letter to the Supreme Allied commander, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, pleading for clemency. However, desertion had become a problem, and Eisenhower confirmed the execution order on December 23. The execution by firing squad was carried out at 10:04 a.m. on January 31, 1945, near the village of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. Slovik was 24 years old.

Slovik was buried in Plot E of Oise-Aisne American Cemetery and Memorial in Fère-en-Tardenois, alongside 96 other American soldiers executed for crimes such as murder and rape. Their black headstones bear numbers instead of names, so it is impossible to identify them individually without knowing the key. In 1987, 42 years after his execution, Slovik's remains were returned to Michigan and reburied in Woodmere Cemetery, Detroit, next to his wife Antoinette, who had died in 1979. Although Slovik's wife and others have petitioned seven U.S. presidents for his pardon, Slovik has not been pardoned.

The Hürtgen Forest cost the U.S. First Army at least 33,000 killed and incapacitated, including both combat and noncombat losses; Germans casualties were between 12,000 and 16,000. Aachen eventually fell on October 22, again at high cost to the U.S. Ninth Army. The Ninth Army's push to the Roer River fared no better, and did not manage to cross the river or wrest control of its dams from the Germans. Hürtgen was so costly that it has been called an Allied "defeat of the first magnitude", with specific credit being assigned to Model.

Hurtgen Forest was a meatgrinder and from what I've read should have been bypassed and not fought.
