3. Here is a comment someone posted on my diary at DailyKos:
Edited on Sat Feb-21-09 02:09 PM by Jackpine Radical
It rings true enough to make me believe it.

Jindal's plan is to add to the "success" of the Katrina aftermath by simply disinviting the poor to come back home. They refuse to rebuild the 9th ward or provide any housing options.

Now Jindal wants to refuse federal stimulus funds and especially unemployment benefits. So if you are unemployed in Louisiana your governor is politely asking you to get the hell out.

This is Jindal's plan to look good in anticipation of a run for Prez in 2012. Run all the unemployed out of the state, point to his lower unemployment rate than the national average and say "Look what I did for Louisiana, I can do that for America".

After he becomes president he boots millions of aliens out of the country so Americans can have jobs in the fields and encourage others to emigrate for employment.

As I commented there, Jindal is as evil as Cheney and infinitely smarter. He scares me.

Yeah, you take a smarter evil asshole and as if cheney weren't dangerous enough you gotta especially watch out for someone like jindal.

There's gotta to be someway to get the real people back in their home.

Maybe we have the Hindu caste system here? The poor are poor because they deserve it, they're being punished by bad karma from their former life. Mustn't try to help them, because that would defeat the Divine Purpose.

The GOP can't afford to run a 'darkie'...it would alienate their racist base. Remember, Condi and Colin were acceptable because they were Bush's toadies.

8. The fact that something is a direct parody of an earlier political volley fired at our side
does not mean that something is not in and of itself offensive. In fact, it can be even more so. Case in point:

This is a clear parody of the Bush-chimp grid. That doesn't matter. It has to be taken within its own self-contained context as well as within its political parody context.

Bush actually resembled the chimp. Obama doesn't.

19. Refusing to call Jindal by his first name is not parody -- it's imitation of disgusting behavior.
It was not funny when used against Obama. It is not funny being used against Jindal.

By the way -- the display you posted was identical to the one used on bushorchimp.com. Yeah, it's dancing along a fine line, but considering that they used EXACTLY the same chimp pics as bushorchimp, it is hard to get too upset.

Edited on Sun Feb-22-09 12:43 PM by dkf
UnAmerican because I am insulted by that seeing as how 2 of my 3 names are distinctly NOT AMERICAN by your standards.

Here, we actually ADD middle names with our heritage because it means something to us, especially if you are mixed race.

No wonder people think Hawaii is exotic. Here we celebrate our heritage. That is why Barack Hussein Obama takes pride in his multi-ethnic roots.

I think its funnier that Piyush felt pressured into adopting a name from the Brady Bunch.

In Hawaii politicians add their middle or former names just for the election or they identify their mothers so people know what they are.

prejudices and turning it around on them showing their pure hypocrisy.

Your posts are AGREEING with this stupid notion that you don't call people by their given names because its an insult.

I think you don't even get what you are doing.

And Hussein was an attempt to tie Obama to someone they identified as a terrorist and a tyrant. If Bush hadn't turned Saddam Hussein into enemy number one, the name would have been more associated with King Hussein of Jordan, a pretty good friend to the United States.

43. just for the record:
I'm not trying to start a war or anything but according to his wiki entry:

Piyush "Bobby" Jindal (born June 10, 1971) is the current Governor of the U.S. state of Louisiana.<1> Prior to his election as governor, he was a member of the United States House of Representatives from Louisiana's 1st congressional district, to which he was elected in 2004 to succeed current U.S. Senator David Vitter. Jindal was re-elected to Congress in the 2006 election with 88 percent of the vote.

I'm not saying whether he was born in US or on Mars....just that his actual first name appears to be Piyush. I'm also not trying to imply that this qualifies or disqualifies him to be President one day.

15. Exactly, DUers sometimes don't get why it is not inconsistent
We're not just doing what they did to reverse things. We're pointing out to them that they held Obama to a certain standard about proving his birth, so why shouldn't they be subjected to the standard they set for others? Of course they are hypocrites and do not, since McCrook's birth in Panama should have been enough for them to require his birth certificate and at least one of his American parents' birth certificates. They never demanded that. Showing they are hypocrites once more.

Edited on Sun Feb-22-09 03:55 PM by Posteritatis
The hypocrisy's just another layer of annoyance, especially when it gets to the point of going after people for having the 'wrong' names as I've seen implied in this thread.

Granted, I find birthright requirements for high office silly anyway, and think that if someone immigrated from Mars they ought to be allowed to run for president (or whatever) the same day they get their citizenship. Of course, that's actually the case where I am, so I'm guilty of taking it for granted.

Jindall was born to Hindu parents and he converted when he was in high school.

He's also a RW religious nut and witnessed an exorcism, has a degree in biology but believes in biblical creationism. And of course, we know about his spiteful and nasty plan to screw over the unemployed in LA. He's absolute scum.

Look, when the freepers and other RWers discuss Obama's heritage, they do so because they seriously believe he's the Antichrist, a Muslim, or wasn't born here. No one here is claiming any of things about Jindall.

And true, children of two illegal aliens are citizens if born on US soil, in spite of their parents' lack of status. Republics can't stand that. So now they'd like to extend that and make a new imaginary rule that one parent not a citizen of the U.S. means you aren't a citizen.

I'm surprised they don't try to find a day or two that Obama's dad was here illegally. Maybe he overstayed a visa!
