It's already starting: Mitt '12.
I saw this bumber sticker today. The car also had a car door flag and a yellow "support our troops" ribbon. Yeah, that's it. If I'd been able to stop, I would have asked them why none of Mittens' fine strong young sons wasn't in the military. Fucking elitist.

1. If Mitt gets the nomination there will be a powerful third party candidate to split the vote.
There are a lot of folks who wouldn't take to a Mormon being president. If you read any pro-Huckabee blogs during the primary, they have a deep hatred of Romney that goes far beyond his liberal past.

3. The right-wing religious nuts
Have been preached to by their pastors - from the bigwigs like Falwell and Robertson - all the way down to their backwater ministers with one room churches deep in the woods that Mormonism is a satanic cult. It's going to be hard for the congregations to do a 180 once their ministers change their positions (and a lot of them will) if Mitt gets the nomination. I think right-wing laity stick to their guns a lot more than what their pastors do and without a religiously insane candidate, a lot of them won't be motivated enough to get out the vote. They were barely motivated to drag their asses to the polls for McCain last year, and that was only because Palin helped him out in that deficiency.

5. I love that guy 'cause he's so slimy and full of shit.
But I fear him for the same reasons. It's like taking the stupid out of George Bush and replacing the vacant space with more slime and more shit.

6. Don't fear him. He is on video with sooooo many flip-flops he'd be lucky
to get HALF the vote McCain got!

7. Another reason why we need to get REAL Health Care Reform now
Because if we don't, Mittens will run on it, and he'll have a track record to use. I don't like his mandatory corporate care bullshit, but the media whores will have the sheeple thinking that Elohim personally came down from Kolob and handed Romney the Holy Health Corpracare Scrolls.

10. Believe it or not, someone was just defending it in another thread
So apparently, even some who claim to be Democrats are happy with it. I could add other comments to that, but then I'd be accused of "rehashing the primaries" so I'll leave it there.
