Republicans lack standing to whine about not reading the bill
two words "Patriot Act"... If you didn't complain about that middle of the night disaster when it was your guy pushing the bill, you don't get to complain today.

and if you didn't complain about the effect of the Iraq War on the deficit and national debt and how our children will have to pay for the Iraq War, then you have no standing to complain about how much this bill is spending.

1. The Republicans just lack standing in general
We have a majority in the House of Representatives.

We have the majority in the Senate.

We hold the Executive Branch.

The Republicans are irrelevant in today's Federal Government, and we need to put them in their place. This is our opportunity to crush the Republican Party once and for all. We may not get another chance to end the Republican blight on our country.

2. It's all I could think about when they were whining about this
HELLO!

Jon Stewart was nailing John Sununu about his last night, very effectively. Not about the voting, but about the hypocrisy of crying about our children having to pay for the stimulus, but no tears that they will pay for Bush's tax cuts for the rich and for the Iraq war.
