1. Both. Henrietta's story was sad (and now taken care of) and Julio probably also
had his life changed forever just by being recognized and complimented by President Obama.

7. I got to thinking about him that way, too
Seems like each in their own way is important today. Although Henrietta obviously has a tougher situation, they'll both stay in my mind. They each represent a slice of American life in need.

8. And she was just given a house to live in rent-free. And also, like I said,
I'm SURE that kid's life has been changed forever for the better. There's obviously something a little off about him. It's like Obama was a father-figure to him.

22. Thanks. I ran across another link on Michelle Malkin's site.
Those heartless punks are actually trying to call it a set up. Saying how does she dress the way she does and be homeless. Clearly, they are devoid of reality and their view of poverty is from the movies and not real life. Or, they have never visited the Goodwill. Being poor doesn't mean you are nasty and dirty.

23. Obama has an endearing style because I would have looked at the
leaping Julio and said, hell no.

I definitely think Julio is nutty. Adorable but nutty.

If he isn't high on life, I hope he gets some help.

4. I hope someone votes for that nutty but very endearing Julio!
I love them both, but how can you NOT vote for the very nicely dressed and dignified woman who's been living with her family in a small car?

:loveya:

28. I do care and that is my point
We should not be having votes on who should get our sympathy.

Hence my comment about "poverty vote".

And there are at least four threads right now about his appearance on Countdown, so your avatar theory is running right on schedule.

Henrietta was just heart breaking. Hoping for good things for them both.
