The thing that stuck me is that it seems like these children were practically mobbing Michelle. It's as if they couldn't wait to get near her. I don't recall ever having seen such a scene with Laura Bush. I don't know if it was because the children were afraid of her, or if they were warned to keep their distance.

one expression. Nancy Reagan and Laura Bush always had the same frozen closed mouth half smile. Michelle Obama is a revelation.

Her speech to St. Mary's indicated going into the community was her way of giving back and she enjoyed doing this. You can tell she is basking in the passion of service.
