He just loves him some John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Bipartisanship to the center for Obama. Here he was spelling doom for the Obama administration 20 days after coming into office. He hates Nancy Pelosi for listening to the "liberal" voices in Congress, and believes that Obama has screwed up his presidency bigtime for the next four years, because he couldn't "achieve" bipartisanship. Whatever his idol, David GOP Brookes wrote (couldn't have been good), he was in total agreement with it.

There were two commentators there (Al Hunt for one) who disagreed with most of what he had to say, and painted quite a different picture then he did. However, since he was there in the studio with Charlie Rose, he kept feeling the need to dominate the discussion and they kept having to softly bring him back to reality....

He kept saying....I'm not trying to say....and then he would say some dumb shit.

Problem with Halperin though, is that he has never, ever been right.

He is such an obvious Conventional Wisdom Washington DC insider party circuit Media Hack trying to make himself a name, until it ain't even funny! The guy has yet to have an original insightful thought of his own!

DOUCHE --->

1. Look up "hack" in the dictionary and you will find Halperin. He has said
several times that bush never really wanted the presidency. Huh? He didn't? Then why did he go through all the trouble to steal it? Yes. You can tell that he's enamored of his own drunken Beltway cocktail parties chatter.

2. I might've watched that program for Al Hunt, but I couldn't stomach the rest, including Rose.
Charlie Rose, of course, always thinks he is the smartest man in the room and will forever interrupt every one of his guests to prove it. Matt Taibbi once wrote that Charlie Rose's frustration is that he cannot interview Charlie Rose.

I've known for some years that he is one of the 'Villagers' as Digby calls them. I had missed seeing his interview with David Denby (the movie critic who wrote the book on snark which I'd been interested in b/c apparently he takes Maureen Dowd apart). Apparently he tried to bring that up in the interview but Charlie Rose kept deflecting him. Charlie Rose's "good friend" is Maureen Dowd, you see. See Somerby's scathing description of this at http://www.dailyhowler.com/ Mark Halperin is beneath contempt (isn't he the one who said "Matt Drudge rules our world"? Or otherwise prostrated himself before rightwing media types to "prove" he wasn't liberal?) but Charlie Rose is a charlatan.

4. It must have stung
for Halperin (and Politico) to hear, after the Obama campaign was over, that the campaign's policy was "If Halperin and Politico say we're winning, then we must be losing." He's always trying to be relevent in the worst way and just coming off like an epic jackass.
