The Upcoming CBS statement- Let's have some fun.
1 What I think they will say- I think they will continue to stand by their story and will accuse the GOP of further politicizing the issue by calling for an investigation. Hopefully they will repeat their 5 questions for smirk.

2. What I would LIKE to hear- Dan Rather making the following statement- We will release the information regarding our source just as soon as George Bush answers the 5 questions.

1. What would be the greatest:
Dan Rather making the following statement- We will release the information regarding our source just as soon as Mr.Novak releases his source on the Valerie Plame outing.

5. Both ideas would be fantastic, and/or...
"We don't even NEED these documents for the facts to be evident: Bush* did get special treatment, did skip his flight physical, did get grounded, and did skip out on fulfilling his duties. Report THAT."

17. Excellent Idea
Let's come up with a name for the source, too. I know you can do this oh clever DUers. (and don't say "Karl Rove" - it's way too obvious)
:)

2. According to Headline News it's to answer this call for a congressional
hearing. They know that there is spit, shit nothing these guys can do to them to cough up their sources. Then they would have to take on Novak and a whole bunch of media whores on the crap they fling around. CBS will get lots of viewers by sticking to the story, letting the repuke assholes make assholes of themselves and keep pounding those questions about Chimp's service over and over and over.

3. I'd like to hear what Congress put aside to push this dumbass
investigation! They certainly didn't put aside voting a pay raise for themselves.

..."drop the smoke screen and answer the questions"

that's my best guess.

12. Well, here it is:
Dan Rather To Bush: ‘Answer The Questions’

"With respect: answer the questions," said Dan Rather, the CBS News anchor. He was asking a direct question to President George W. Bush, his re-election campaign and his political allies in the press and on the Web. "We’ve heard what you have to say about the documents and what you’ve said and what your surrogates have said, but for the moment, answer the questions.

"I say that with respect," he added. "They’d be a lot stronger in their campaign if they did do that."

On Tuesday, Sept. 14, Mr. Rather remained steadfast despite a brutal onslaught of criticism from Bush defenders—including Laura Bush—critics and competing news organizations over the authenticity of memos reportedly typed by Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, Mr. Bush’s squadron commander in the early 1970’s, which suggested that Killian felt pressure from his superior to "sugarcoat" negative evaluations of the future President’s performance.

Since 60 Minutes reported on those documents on Wednesday, Sept. 8, their veracity has been assaulted by Web critics, politicians and document experts who put the burden of proof on Mr. Rather, his producers and on CBS News, and say that the reputation of the news organization is at stake.

I got the memos from Karl Rove. So either Mister Rove is trying to set up his boss, or he is trying to clown me. I chose to humor this little black op, so i can out the fat bastard.

If America decides to hang Karl for treason, we would be happy to air it on 60 minutes. Thank you, and Good Night.

16. Blizter is letting them slam CBS, saying that they have been
guilty of faking polls to as well as not showing legit information? lol, does anyone take this guy seriously? They are saying that though the memos are fake,, this in CNN, it is still the truth? Okay, guys, do we not have a bit of problem with a war time president being so unfit to uphold his ng duty? my goodness, does this not make a difference to our fair and balanced press guys?

Guess not..

18. The republicans love to start up frivilous investigations.
The most notorious was Clinton/Monica thing. The next one was the Elian Rescue thing. And now this. The repukes should spend their own personal money if they want to start up investigations.
