Well, everyone who helped me, she just says it's "liberal bias".

Well, everyone who helped me, she just says it's "liberal bias".
Just what I expected. She said that too may of those articles talk about the same event, so that it's not a widespread occurance.

That's kind of what I expected.

1. It's never "news" unless...
there is a significant "change" from what has been previously reported or there is "new" information on a previously published story.

See if you can reframe your pitch based on the points mentioned above.

You may have to approach another news source.

2. Do me a favor? Ask her to define "liberal."
It may help to find out what she thinks it means.

3. Liberal Bias...
Ask her how she thinks the media would have treated Bill Clinton if 9/11 happened on his watch and he was on vacation for the entire month before it occurred.

If that doesn'r work, explain to her that 70 percent of the Gore stories in 2000 painted him in a negative light, whereas 60 percent of the Bush stories in the same election painted him in a positive light. This was from the non-partisan group Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR).

If that doesn't work, tell her that the supposed haven of liberalism the New York Times has written over 1,000 articles on Whitewater (EXCLUDING Monica stories), which was a failed land deal in Arkansas for the Clintons, and only nine on Bush's role in Harken, where he made almost a million dollars by selling Harken stock while he was on the Board of Directors. The SEC let Bush off the hook (without calling it an exoneration) even though law says he had to declare his sale of stock within a week and it took him nine months.

If that doesn't work, ask her if she think that Al Gore claimed he invented the internet. If she says yes, then you can point out that you can't blame her for being wrong, given that the media shamelessly kept running with a false story.

4. That's why it is generally pointless to argue with a freeper...
they really just want you to waste your time. Their "mind" is already made up. I find it far more rewarding to just humiliate and belittle them. mitchum is a mean man.
