Is liar too tough of a word for Kerry to use to describe Bush?
It seems Kerry describes Bush in every way possible without ever saying the "L" word. It seems that must be by design, and the campaign has decided that liar is too harsh and using it will turn off voters. I'm on the fence on this one. I can see their point, and calling Bush a liar directly does seem pretty harsh, but when I'm really pissed off at Bush, it seems appropriate to call a spade a spade. What do others think about this?

2. Terry McAuliffe actually used the word yesterday.
I agree with you, Kerry should call bush a liar. But then again, Kerry has a whole spectrum of possible things to bring up against Bush that he's not yet brought up. I'm still waiting...

3. W stands for Wrong way LIAR
Bu$h lies at every turn. His whole campaign is based on lies. Wat is wrong with this campaign is that the Democrats keep on playing nice against these Lying Thugs. Kerry need to call king george a lier at every turn.

5. Others can use the word. Kerry and Edwards CANNOT!
If they call the president a liar in public, they will have to face censure in the republican controlled Senate.

Sad, but true.

6. Unless you can unequivically prove that he knowingly...
..said something that he without a doubt knew to be false, then it's just opening up a can of worms.

I know a ton of reasonable, relatively bi-partisan people who don't like bush but still don't think that he knowingly lied.

Kerry saying so may fire us up but it won't gain him a damn in thing in the election or with the media.

7. Yes, at this point, he should not use the word "liar".
It would probably be a mistake, no matter how obvious it is.

Much better to keep hammering away at the facts, using terms like "The Excuse President" etc. and allow others to directly accuse the coWard with direct attacks on his character.

17. This guy is a liar
After the attack on our country on 9/11, President Bush promised that he would make the hunt for Osama Bin Laden the number one priority for his administration. We all remember the "smoke 'em out remark" , but it seems the only smoke we've seen is the one associated with mirrors.
It turns out that, according to the NY times report, "Three years after the Sept. 11 attacks on New York and the Pentagon, the Central Intelligence Agency has fewer experienced case officers assigned to its headquarters unit dealing with Osama bin Laden than it did at the time of the attacks." It also appears that the unit involved in this investigation is stretched so thin that it cannot do any meaningful work.
This president must be held accountable in this election for the blatant misdirecting of our intelligence and military resources
to an ill-planned war in Iraq and the deceitful misleading of the public and Congress on the rationale for a preemptive strike on a country that was not directly threatening us. His arrogance has not only sent our brave soldiers to an unnecessary war with no exit strategy in sight, but has also made us more unsafe by alienating us from the international community with which we need their cooperation to combat terrorism.
