But, "I'm Not One of Those People Who Hate President Bush"
Imus is the composite sketch of the depth of ignorance we face in this country. Late in his broadcast today, he said he will now probably vote for Kerry but that he was not one of those people who hate Bush.....then he went nutso on the Bush administration.

He said Rummy was a war criminal. He said Wolfewitz should be hung. He went on and on about the kids he saw at Walter Reed, etc.

Well, Imus, either Bush is the lead bastard in the war criminal department (along with the total assault on the American people and our democracy) and should be dragged out of office with his buddies Rummy and Wolfewitz; or we have a dumb sockpuppet in the Oval Office who is being manipulated by everyone and has his finger on the nuke trigger. Which is it?? You can't have it both ways!

It is disgusting how many people in this country have drunk deeply from the deceit well and refuse to hold Bush accountable for anything. But, then again, that's the way the Bush family has played it for years and the suckers buy into it all the time.

1. Bush is a talking mannequin, just like Reagan
If you think he is responsible for one whit of policy, you are mistaken....

2. To be honest...
I'm glad he said he doesn't hate scrub. I mean, when people criticize his voting for Kerry, he can say he's voting for Kerry for other reasons.
In the end...I don't care why people vote for Kerry...as long as they vote for him in November.

4. Years ago, Imus was pretty good...
Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 08:44 AM by rasputin1952
These days, he is a washed up shell of his former days.

It is almost as if he shut his brain off. Imus is working strictly off his name these days, and it seems like he's either drunk, stoned or recently had a stroke. In any of those three scenarios, it is a sad state of affairs...:(

6. He did say he will probably vote for Kerry
and that is a good thing. One step at a time. In fact, if no other bush ever holds elective office again, tha's a good thing. I believe you may be advocating pressing charges against bush. I do not disagree but it ain't happening. Just to get him out of office is fine by most people.

7. He hates the Neocons and is voting for Kerry
and people are bashing him? He is holding Bush accountable. And if he thinks Bush is an empty suit, he probably wouldn't hate him.

8. The most powerful family in America is the most powerful family
in the WORLD. by Kitty Kelly. Excellent statement. Kerry is up against the most powerful, influential family in the world that have had their hands in the oil pot for DECADES! Come on America, this is a democracy here, if the Bush family want a monarchy then Iraqi would be a good place for them to start imposing their rule on them.

11. that's what I mean , WI---------and this thinking of Imus is just what
is happening throughout the country. They may be mad about jobs, economy, Iraq, etc. but it's 'bad intelligence' or those 'shifty bastards in the administration who didn't do a good job for their president' (oh, you mean the afore worshipped 'dream team?) that is at fault. By the way, WI, what's the real, gut feeeling, truth about Wisconsin. Are we going to hold on to it????

12. Who's ignorant?
Imus is the composite sketch of the depth of ignorance we face in this country. Late in his broadcast today, he said he will now probably vote for Kerry but that he was not one of those people who hate Bush.....then he went nutso on the Bush administration.

First, Imus is Imus. He doesn't care if you love him or hate him. As long as you keep listening. He's shrewd, like Stern is.

Imus knows perfectly well that you don't budge people who are leaning toward Bush by some rabid attack on him. The only people you convince that way are people who are already on your side anyway. He's going after independents and people in his age group, especially those on the east coast. He knows his audience and he knows what to say to reach them.

Imus is much smarter and more effective than about 90% of the people I see raging their way to an early heart attack at DU.

I think he'll vote Kerry. He spoke out about how much he liked him early in the primaries, back when Kerry was a dead duck, trying to catch Dean. I don't think Imus ever really connected personally with any other candidate like he did with Kerry. And I think he'll stay the course with Kerry and tell people that before the election.
