3. I will never ever forget Katrina.
And I think many journalists and others who covered the tragedy understood.

In October 2005, When I called Senator Kenedy's office to report that the black community in San Francisco Bay area was calling the Katrina catastrophe "genocide", and asked a staffer what they thought, they said that the "g" word was indeed the correct term to use.

While for whatever reason, the Secret Service stood around. Until after the second shoe was thrown.
