DUA - DU Anonymous - Election Season Meet-Up

Due to the amount of time I am wasting on DU and the increasing amount of trolls, freeper posters, subversion tactics of RW naderites, and other anti-Kerry agenda posters, I am jumping on the DU wagon - going cold turkey for 6 weeks to work harder for Kerry on the streets. I am a compulsive type that, even if I drop in to check a headline or a debate, I am addicted for two (+) hours. My job, my family, my sanity - hell, even my dog - are suffering.

One thing is true - I am passionate about the election. I am passionate about John Kerry. I truely believe he will be a great president - 100% better than gwb*.

Therefore, I will be getting by for the next 6 weeks by adhering to the first step in many 12 step programs.

Step One:

1. I admit that I am powerless over DU - that my life has become unmanageable.

Feel free to share you own stories here - however I will not respond - I will not read them, I will not be here.

VOTE KERRY - Spread the word every day. Don't give up.

While I will still be logging into DU for my news I will be spending EVERY SINGLE one of my days off until Oct. 4th registering people to vote and passing out flyers with Bush Facts on them.

We can win...but it's come to the point where we have to do more then just vote ourselves.

I am TOTALLY addicted to DU. I see something, I read something, I get worked up and want to discuss it. Bing badda boom, I'm in DU

My family is starving for my attention as well.

I am painfully disabled; it isn't easy for me to get out at all. However, what I do to help is write and contribute$$

I sometimes get down and have to rant..then I snap out of it and try to encourage others to do likewise.
