A majority of Americans now question Bush's leadership in Iraq - all the polls show this.
I think a winning argument would be to simply say "we can't afford any more mistakes in Iraq" - and god knows there's been a lot.
I don't think Kerry needs to talk about missing WMDs or lies before the war - everyone knows all that.
We're in Iraq, it's fucked up, that's the reality - we can't afford any more mistakes.
The debate should be framed with Bush's post-invasion mistakes - lack of troops, planning, Abu Ghraib, etc...
Many who initially supported the war think Bush has fucked it up....
Kerry can win on this issue! Bush is trying to make the debate all about pre-invasion stuff - would Kerry have voted for the IWR if he knew what he knows now etc...
Bush is deliberately trying to avoid a debate over his handling of Iraq. Kerry should skip the pre-invasion controversies and focus on how Bush has fucked it up.
That's my two cents....
