I Love Him More Every Day...
I swear, every day since his inauguration, Obama does something that makes me happier about his presidency than I was the day before. I know sooner or later he's going to piss me off, but right now... I'm floating on Cloud 9, and I can hardly wait to find out what happens tomorrow.

Does anyone else feel the same sense of vindication I'm feeling today? I guess it's true what they say. It's always darkest before dawn.

1. I have been really impressed with how things have gone this last
week. We elected a great team and a great guy. I know he's going to be a great president. He has walked into a gang of shit so I'm not going to be pissed off anytime soon. He's taken on one hell of a job. This country is in tough shape. He's the right person for the job at the right time. I'm proud of My President!

2. So far so good
What a pleasure seeing this President on TV as opposed to the last one. No more reaching for the remote.

3. If I told you how I feel I would break down and cry happy tears. And I have stuff to do now.
I no longer have to supervise damn cruddy work happening in my name.
I know you know exactly what I mean !!!!!!!!

4. It's the competency thing.
Even if he were a Republican (and I see few competent Republicans in the spotlight) it would be refreshing.

That wonderful 2 year candidacy, and now the first few days of the honeymoon.

So far, I too am loving it. Holds much promise.

6. Did you know he is working this weekend?
Yes, I am impressed. He has to be exhausted.

I am sure there will be dissapoinment but he has told us that it will occassionally happen.

He is leading by example and that is one of the most important things in today's American environment.

7. Yep, we done good with this one
:applause:

I'm not gonna agree with everything the dude does, but he's a helluva lot better than eight years of Chimp in Charge.

9. For me it's kind of like Christmas or my birthday every day.
I can't wait to get home from work each day to see what present he has given me. So far I've liked all of them.

It really is different. I used to come home each day, and log on here to see what horrible thing that lying weasel and/or one of his cronies had done that day. It was always bad news. This past short week has been nothing but good news...Guantanomo, overturning the global gag rule...everyday a new undoing of the wretched policies of the past 8 years. I'm lovin' it, too! :bounce:

10. People love the apostle more than the creed
I've been on the Barack for Prez train since Oct 2004, but can we at least wait until he starts getting this economy back on track before we vociferate such indomitable adulation for the man.

18. Oh yes!
He's doing it right! You know, even if he doesn't bat a thousand, he's deserving of my adulation just because he got our country back for us. We are all citizens again. That alone is something I'd despaired of for most of the last 8 years.

21. I don't love him at all. I give all the respect he deserves having been elected President, but
Edited on Sun Jan-25-09 05:24 AM by cherokeeprogressive
do not feel any kind of love for the man, his wife, or his children. I'll declare right here, though it's not required, that I and the Ms. both voted for him.

I voted for him not out of any kind of love or affection, but because of my belief that he could, as President, bring my country back to a place where the rule of law was respected and acted upon.

I think anyone who declares LOVE for a person they do not know intimately is either attempting to jump on whatever bandwagon that person might have inspired, or might be obsessed to the point of having their sanity questioned.

22. At this point
he's already done more good for the country than Bush did in his entire 8 year reign. There's not much he can do to make me dislike him.
