You know who this is?

Kristin Breitweiser at the press conference where she and four other 9/11 widows endorsed John Kerry for president. She is a picture of the tragic dignity of grief.

4. Here's what she said
"In the three years since 9/11, I could never have imagined I would be here today, disappointed in the person I voted for, for president," she said.

That's right. She was a Bush supporter in 2000.

7. I was going to say, they wouldn't dare!
And then I remembered they've dared to piss all over a war hero's medals. :scared:

8. You should know by now that there is nothing
the Bush-Rove team wouldn't do...except govern with intelligence, morals and principles. That does seem to be beyond their grasp

9. I can't say they wouldn't like to try
but I can't imagine there is any way to get at her.
And don't forget, her effort to get the 9/11 commission together is one of *'s greatest flip-flops!

10. Saw her today with Woodruff.
My heart was breaking for her. Bush's actions and reactions as they relate to 9/11 are torture for her and many other families.

She even said that she hasn't flown since 9/11. She has flashbacks. She told the Kerry campaign that she will travel and will get on a plane (if she's able to overcome the fear). Either way she'll be out there.

I hope JK invites her to fly with him aboard his plane for her first flight. She wouldn't even necessarily have to appear at the stop. Maybe it's just me, but I think Kerry doing that could give her the sense of security she'll need.

11. I can't imagine the pain
The strength it takes to work so hard at something that is sure to remind you on a daily basis of the loss you've suffered - incredible. These women have all my respect.
