10. Imhotep rises from his tomb, trailing wrappings, subpoenas and $100 bills
The sooner the Mummified Mr. Baker shuffles back to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the better.

22. I LOVE the image of Baker as the dried up old mummy !!!.
. . .the evil high priest(Rove)gives the moldy old dustball elixir of Tannis Root(mixed with single-malt Scotch), and he SPRINGS to life!!!

5. If Kerry has to go it alone,
I say turn it into a town meeting with UNSCRIPTED questions. . . roll up those sleeves, talk to regular folks like us and have the moderator remind the audience that the other candidate was invited to appear but had a "scheduling" conflict.

3. yes they are
and I think Kerry is saving his best stuff, his 'A' material, for those debates, when he can get the message out directly to a whole lot of people, without the corporate infotainment media spinning it through their filter.

6. I think Kerry is holding onto his best lines and zingers for debates ...
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 10:05 PM by 2004 Victory
If he uses them now, Bush will have a snappy scripted reply in the can. Of course, if he can remember his talking points without a teleprompter is another question.

Did anyone see Bush speaking to the National Guard Association today? It was sooooo-o-o-o-o-o creepy. When he stopped for his applause lines he kind-of jerked and made weird faces. This jerking I noticed several times and it really was a bit of a freak show. Anybody else notice that? I could only watch for about 5 minutes, but in that 5 minutes he was making inappropriate gestures, weird faces, and those creepy body jerks -- like he was getting little electrical shocks.

shrub at this point. Ever since that "sovereigny/sovereign" speech I am more and more convinced there is some serious neurological thing going on there.

(BTW, what's the deal with the thing over his left eyebrow? Looks like some sort of growth. Reminds me of pics of FDR in his waning days.)

Tha man's falling apart, it seems.

9. That's a sure sign of drug use.
During the debates in 2000,the idiot kept sniffing and making weird faces. Anyone who didn't catch that wasn't paying attention. I thought to myself, that moron can't possibly become President of the United States. It's really embarrassing how so many Americans are just as stupid as he is. No wonder other countries can't stand us. They probably think we are all a bunch of Forest Gumps.

11. There's no doubt in my mind he's medicated...
I think everytime he goes out there it's like Courtney Love going on live TV; you just wait for self-implosion. Sometimes it happens, sometimes not. But we haven't seen the Mother Of All Implosions yet; hopefully Kerry will be able to goad him into it at the debates..

12. In A Straight-Up Debate, Kerry Would Clean Up
However, how often do Center/Left candidates get a fair chance these days? How do you think the 'liberal' media will spin the debate results?

I will always remember the Reagan/Carter debate I watched. Carter gave clear, concise responses as opposed to Reagans one-liner platitudes. I felt strongly that Carter had won.

Following the debate I could not believe it when the media said Reagan had won decisively.

15. You are so right!
I read that there were polls right after the Gore-Bush debate that said Gore won, then after a day or so of the pundits telling everyone Bush was better, the polls showed Bush the winner. I'm so very tired of the media choosing our presidents for us.

21. I think the debates will be a trap for Kerry...
Unless he has a plan of his own to deflect anything the Bush team tries, and keeps them off balance and off their game plan. I often hear about Kerry's debating tactics, but his most recent performances during the primaries, the ones I've been judging him by, don't indicate that he can plow thru a series of GOP tricks or a stacked format which the debates will certainly be.

Kerry needs unorthodox, momentum stealing tactics as Rove will otherwise fix the circumstances so that no matter Kerry's performance, Bush will be named winner. How many times do they have to cheat before people take note of this?

And lastly, for goodness sake make Bush *stand* for all the debates.. Baker wants him seated so the height difference won't be noticed.

25. Hey, if * is going to show up, you just KNOW he's going to be
sedated. That's why he needs to be seated.

Or maybe it's the only way Cheney can put his hand up *'s ass to get his mouth to work. If he stands, Cheney's hand can't reach that far. ;)
